PARACHUTE FAILS
TWO CHILDREN AND PILOT KILLED. STRANGE ACCIDENT IN RUSSIA. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 8.30 p.m. Moscow, Sept. 11. Four children, selected as the best pupils nine years of age at Charkov, were rewarded with an aeroplane flight. The machine was encircling the town at a height of 7000 feet when the engine stopped. Two airmen, equipped with parachutes jumped each with two children in his arms. One parachute failed to open and the three were killed. The others landed safely.
