PUKEARUHE NEWS

FACTORY DANCE SUCCESS. There was a large attendance at the annual factory dance in the Pukearuhe hall on Monday evening, visitors being present from Urenui, Waitoitoi and New Plymouth. Music was supplied by the Mecca Orchestra with extras by Miss O. Lambert and Mr. R. Allen (accordeon). Mr. A. Rookes was master of ceremonies. Mr. T. Martin thanked the visitors for their patronage, especially Newton King’s staff. Mr. Patrick responded on their behalf and said they looked forward each year to the outing. Mrs. C. Rowe is spending a holiday at Bell Block. Mrs. Dunn, who has been spending a holiday with her daughter, Mrs. L. Kemp, has returned to the Wairarapa. Mrs. A. Cocker has returned from a holiday in South Taranaki. Miss Ella Dowding is the guest of Mrs. B_ Luxlon.
