KING COUNTRY TO PLAY TARANAKI TWO OF MAORI TEAM INCLUDED. (Special to Daily News.) Taumarunui, Last Night. Two Maori Rugby representatives, Kawe and Phillips, are included in the King Country Rugby team to play Taranaki B at Taumanmui on Saturday. C. Crossman, an Ohura player who formerly played for Stratford Technical High School, Auckland Training College and the Clifton senior fifteen, is first five-eighth for the te m, which is:— Full-back: Simpson (Ruapehu). Three-quarters: Phillips (Kawhia), Bathgate (Taumarunui), Howie (Ohura). Five-eighths: Barton (Taumarunui), captain, Crossman (Ohura). Half-back: Simpson (Kaitieke). Forwards: Bradshaw (Ruapehu), Pickrang, Kawe, Trust-Craig (Maniapoto), Nelson (Taumarunui), Gordon (Ruapehu), Wheeler (Kaitieke). Reserves: Turner and R. Barlow (Maniapoto). King Country's record this season is as follows:— Lost to Waikato, 19—20. Beat Thames Valley, 22—16. Beat Bay of Plenty, 22—17. Mr. A. G. Whiting, Eltham, will be manager of the Taranaki team. J. Heath (Stratford Old Boys), an emergency, will not be able to make the trip.
