GOOD COMPETITION AT SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec' 9.5 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 4. At the wool sales to-day 11,546 bales were offered and 10,804 sold. Privately 350 were sold. The market was very firm at the previous day’s levels with a widening demand for better descriptions. Chief competition was from Japan, the Continent and Yorkshire. Greasy Merino sold to 22jd. •
