HEIFER’S FIVE LEGS

STRANGE BEAST AT SPOTSWOOD. LEG GROWING FROM SPINE. A Jersey heifer with five legs is exciting considerable interest on a property at Spotswood, New Plymouth. Beasts with five legs of a kind are not so rare as this, which has the fifth leg swinging from the spine at the shoulder. The heifer, the property of Mr. C. A. P. Wood, is a pedigree ahd is normal and healthy in every other respect. It is about 18 months old. The heifer moves about normally and apparently unhindered, the leg swinging from one side to the other.
