Sullivan (Avon), who asked a question in the House of Representatives yesterday regarding the liability of the Government Life Insurance Office for rates on properties that fell into its hands through holding a mortgage on. them, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes said the office was in the same position as the State Advances Department An undertaking had been given that the Government would fully consider the circumstances of the liability of the Crown for rates in certain cases before the next Budget was prepared.
