NEW AERO TROPHY
CUP FOR FIRST YEAR PILOT.
PRESENTATION BY DR. W. F. BUIST.
An announcement that Dr. W..F. Buist, president of the Hawera Aero Club, had presented a challenge cup for award to the pilot of the Western Federated (N. 1. Flying Club winning the annual elimination trial for the Bledisloe Aviation Trophy, was made at a meeting of the Federated Club at Hawera yesterday. In connection with the Bledisloe trophy each year an elimination trial is held by the club and the winner contests the North Island elimination trial and ultimately, if he gets that far, the New Zealand trial. The first winner of Dr. Buist’s cup will be Mr. C. Turner, New Plymouth Aero Club.
