SPORTS AT EVERETT ROAD. RESULTS OF EVENTS. Kaimiro was favoured with splendid weather on Friday for the annual school picnic held on Mr. Bracegirdle’s farm, Everett Road. There was a large attendance. There was a treasure hunt for the children, as well as lolly scrambles. A soft drink and ice cream stall in charge of Mesdames H. G. Taylor and S. Julian was profitable. Results of the sports were:—

Butler 1, A. Taylor 2, M. Pope 3, J. Taylor 4. Six to seven years: Boys, M. Coldrick 1, J. Cash 2, M. Smith 3; girls, J. Shoemark 1, N. Taylor 2, P. Butler 3. Three-legged races: Boys, P. Coldrick and I. Taylor 1, W. Zimmerman and R. Peters 2; M. Smith and J. Shoemark 3; girls, A. Julian and M. Peters 1, M. Shoemark and M. Coldrick 2, J. and A. Taylor 3. Girls’ backwards run: A- Julian 1, J. Taylor 2, J. Zimmerman 3. Boys’ jockey race: R. Peters 1, B. Julian 2, F. Cash 3. Inter-school relay: Everett Road and Waitui beat Kaimiro. Single men: R. Hudson 1, J. Irvine 2; S. Gibson 3. Married men: H. Read 1, L. Hintz 2, W. Dempsey 3- Smokers’ race: F. Irvine 1, W. Robinson and W. Dempsey, equal, 2. Men’s three-legged: J. McAdam and R. Hudson. Old girls ('Mrs. N. Gibson’s trophy): Mrs. Bishop. Married women: Mrs. Shoemark 1, Mrs. Read- 2. Mrs. Hintz 3. Stepping the chain, Miss M. Coldrick and J. Gopperth. A dance was held in the evening, music being provided by Bell’s orchestra. The. chairman of the sports committee thanked the district for its whole-hearted support.
