PRICES IMPROVE AT SYDNEY. KEEN COMPETITION RULES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 9.15 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 15. The wool sales were resumed to-day when 8906 bales were offered and 7875 sold. Privately 1029 bales were sold. There was keen competition from Yorkshire on suitable wools and good sup'.port from Japan and the Continent. ' Compared with closing Sydney rates at he end of September well grown fleece tools and bulky skirtings ruled in sellers’ favour and were, occasionally five .per cent, higher, while the average descriptions remained firm. Good clearances were effected.
