FAREWELL AT STRATFORD

An evening was held at the residence of the Misses C. and N. Pratt, when a farewell party was given in honour of Mr. R. Treeby, who has been transferred to New Plymouth. Competitions, dancing and community singing were held, competitions being won by Miss D. Keightly, Miss L. Coombridge, Mr. T. Boyle and Mr. V. Henry. A presentation on behalf of the guests was made by Mr. R. Sharrock. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss D. Thompson and Mr. Treeby, while music for dancing was played by Miss E. Wilmshurst and Mr. V. Henry. Among those present were Misses C. Pratt, N. Pratt, B. Parker, E. Wilmshurst, D. Keightly, L. Coombridge, D. Thompson and E. Sears.
