FATAL SAWMILL ACCIDENT

LOG SLIPS AND CRUSHES MAN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Taumarunui, Last Night. Arthur Penny was killed to-day at a sawmill near Owhango. While he was loading a log on a motor-truck the log slipped, pinning Mr. Penny, who suffered internal injuries and a fractured pelvis. Mr. Penny was conveyed to the Taumarunui hospital. He was still conscious but he died soon after admission. He was aged about 27 years and it is believed he has a wife and other relatives at Whangarei.
