DINNER PARTY AND DANCE.
-7-COMING-OF-AGE CELEBRATION. To celebrate the coming-of-age of their son, Peter, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Moyes entertained a large number of guests | at a dinner party and dance on Wednesday night. The dinner party was held at the Criterion Hotel, where the tables had been artistically decorated with vases of rhododendrons. Toasts were honoured, the health of the guest of the evening being proposed by Mr. Sidney Fookes. Later all adjourned to the library of the Boys’ High School, where dancing was held to the music of McNeill’s orchestra. The ceiling was massed with coloured balloons giving a carnival effect, while greenery decorated the walls. Supper was served in the school dining hall, where orange-coloured flowers were the chief decorations. »
