Sergeant J. Henry is on leave and Sergeant Clist, New Plymouth, is acting in charge of the Hawera Police Station. Mr. H. J. Kingston, a former resident of Hawera, died at Wanganui on Sunday at the age of 60 years. He carried on a drapery business at Hawera before retiring to live at Wanganui.. He leaves a widow and a family of two sons— Messrs. C. Kingston (Wanganui) and K. Kingston (Hawera)—and three daughters —Mesdames C. W. N. Rowe (Kaponga), A. Langslow (Patea) and F. Gedye (Aramoho).
