REQUIREMENTS OF THE MARKET. LORD BLEDISLOE OFFERS TROPHY By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Lact Night. Recognising the wonderful potentialities of the British market for suitable pork the Governor-General (Lord Bledislote) has donated a valuable challenge Cup to the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand for the carcase of pork best suitable. for conversion into bacon to suit the tastes of the British public. The carcases will be brought back to New Zealand by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board and exhibited in different centres to allow the growers to see what is required for the British trade. The trophy will be known as the Bledisloe Bacon Pig Challenge Cup and will be exhibited at any Royal Agriculturay Society’s shows. Judging will be from the standpoint of British requirements.
