PROMINENT BOWLER’S DEATH

MR. M. RAMSON, WHAKATANE. Mr. Maynard Ramson, third son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ramson, well known residents of New Plymouth for many' years, died at Whakatane yesterday. For many years Mr. Ramson was in business at New Plymouth as a saddler. Twenty-five years ago he took over a general store at Whakatane and retired two years ago.

Mr. Ramson was well known in bowling circles at Whakatane and New Plymouth. He was a foundation member of the Fitzroy Bowling Club and was practically the founder of the Whakatane club. He was a member of the Whakatane Borough Council for many years. Mr. Ramson is survived by his widow (nee Miss M. Hoskin) and one son, Mr. Eric Ramson, Te Puke. There are five sisters and two brothers living, Misses Florrie and Annie Ramson and Mrs. Alex Canning. Whakatane, Mrs. J. C. Morey, Mrs. Percy Griffiths, New Plymouth, Mr. Joseph Ramson, New Plymouth, and Mr. James Ramson, Epsom, Auckland.
