RECORD OF ROTARIAN

CLUB LUNCHEON ATTENDANCE.

TWO HUNDRED CONSECUTIVELY.

Yesterday’s luncheon of the New Plymouth Rotary Club was the two hundredth consecutive one attended by Rotarian- C. O. Berg. The District Governor, Rotarian T. C. List, extended congratulations to Rotarian Berg on behalf of the New Plymouth club, New Zealand Rotary and Rotary International.

He did not know, whether it was a New Zealand record but it certainly was a record for the New Plymouth club, said the District Governor. He expressed the pleasure of Rotarians at having Rotarian Berg so regularly at the weekly luncheons, and their thanks for the interest Rotarian Berg was taking and had taken in the club. The hope was expressed by the District Governor that Rotarian Berg would not mar his record but keep it up. In America he had met a Rotarian, Louis Hirsig, of Madison, who had attended consecutively club luncheons for 20 years. In acknowledgement Rotarian Berg said he hoped all the present members would be there to greet him when he reached the 500 consecutive attendance mark. Rotarian Berg has been a member of Rotary for four and a half years, and actually has in that period attended more than 200 luncheons, but not consecutively.
