WAREA ITEMS.

At the invitation of the Warea Ladies’ Guild about 50 ladies assembled in the Warea Hall on Thursday afternoon to say farewell to Mrs. B. Anderson, who is leaving Warea for Lepperton. Mrs. Anderson has always been an active worker for the guild, and will be greatly missed. In the absence of the Rev. J. Adams, Okato, Miss Corbett, on behalf of the guild, presented Mrs. Anderson with a handbag. Musical items were given by Mrs. Longley (songs), Misses F. and K. Julian (pianoforte duet) and Mr. E. Davis (pianoforte solo). Community singing was accompanied by Miss K. Julian. Afternoon tea was served and the singing of Auld Lang Syne concluded an enjoyable afternoon. Miss'F. Brown is th: guest of Miss E. Meier.

Miss R. Muir has returned from a holiday at New Plymouth. Mrs. J. Little and Miss N. Johns are the guests of Mrs. L. Donald. Mrs. P. Sole has gone to live on the Stent Road.
