WOMEN’S DIVISION ACTIVITY

NORTH TARANAKI EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the North Taranaki provincial executive of the Womens Division of the Farmers’ Union was held at New Plymouth on Friday, Mrs. H. Marsh presiding. Satisfaction was expressed with the way the branches had responded in sending exhibits for the court at the winter show, and members of the New Plymouth branch were thanked for all they had done in arranging the court. Mrs. Marsh spoke highly of the care they had shown, every article sent in having been properly cared for and not one having been lost. The executive supported the proposal that the Women’s Division should send more than two boys to Flock House. Members with personal knowledge spoke very highly of the work and character of the boys. , „ „ Mrs. McPhillips, president or the New Plymouth branch, asked delegates to take an interest, wherever possible, in the supplying of milk for school children in town, it being possible that factories near town might be willing to supply skim milk. This was nourishing and certainly better than no milk at all. Delegates promised to see what could be done. Mrs. H, Marsh was elected delegate from the executive to the general conference.
