LOST ON MOUNT EGMONT
MEMBERS OF SEARCH PARTY.
NIGHT SPENT IN THE BUSH. A further search was made during the week for Mr. D. H. Collins, who has been missing from his home, Rowan Road, for several weeks. Several parties scoured the southern base of the mountain reserve above Rowan but without success. On Thursday two young men, members of the search party, became lost. They were Messrs. H. Williams and J. Collins, nephews of the missing man. As they did not return on Thursday night anxiety was felt for their safety, and on Friday further search parties set out from Kaponga. Three men, Messrs. J. Bowie, D. Symes and M. Voullaire, found the two men traversing the banks of a stream in an endeavour to work their way out of the bush. They had spent the night in an improvised shelter on the reserve and were much exhausted as the result of their strenuous experience.
