POSITION GENERALLY EASIER. MURRAY RIVER STILL RISES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Sept. 3. With the exception olf the Albury district the flood position is becoming easier. The low-lying areas around Albury were inundated yesterday and the water is still rising. The gauge on the Hume weir on the Murray River showed the water to be 6ft 3in above the spillway, loin above the 1931 flood level. It is still rising. Settlers along the river are alarmed and many have moved to higher ground.
