Rec. 5.5 p.m. Bucharest, Sept. 3. A commandant and 16 mon were blown to atoms —even 'their garments could not be discovered—in a series of mysterious munitions explosions in a fortress at Rudent, on the outskirts of the capital. The worst explosion occurred among stored naval mines, which wrecked many houses. A piece of shell penetrated the wall of a cobbler’s workshop and cut off the cobbler’s left foot.
