NATIONAL COUNCIL OF WOMEN.
The monthly meeting of the New Plymouth branch of the National Council of Women was held in the Women’s Club on Monday. Present: Miss Andrews (in the chair), Mesdames Avery, Hosking, Morrison, Larkin, Chapman, Chivers, Reed, Brewster, Ruff, Misses Corkill, Douglas and Gill. Correspondence was read dealing with .nationality of married women, the Child Welfare Act and relief worker’s card. Votes of thanks were passed to Miss Leatham and Mr. Burgess for the financial assistance derived from the concerts arranged by them, also to the School Committees’ Association for a do-
