ELTHAM BIRTHDAY PARTY.

There was a gathering of friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gower, Eltham, on Friday on. the occasion of the coming of ago of their daughter Dorothy. Mr. Fletcher, Rawhitiroa, on behalf of the visitors wished Miss Gower many happy returns, and Miss Gower thanked those present for tho splendid evening they had given her. Mr. Gower theu handed Miss Gower the key, and while the clock struck twelve Miss Gower cut the beautiful cake, which was made by her mother.

Among the Eltham visitors who motored to the Stratford golf ball were Mesdames J. Best (blue taffetas), E. Crabtree (black lace and coatee), and L. Quin (flame satin), Misses Wray Carter (black lace over pink), 'S. Carncross (wine satin), Dorothy Riddle (pink satin), Renie Gibb (cameo pink lace and coatee), Madge McKinnon (sea green.silk velvet), Josie O’Hagan (powder blue taffetas), G. Brown (blue satin and lace), and. Jean Stewart (wine satin).
