THE PORT OF NEW PLYMOUTH INCREASING CUSTOMS REVENUE. IMPROVEMENT SINGE LAST YEAR. In a time when business is said to be rather dull it is remarkable that the trade barometer at New Plymouth is so high. An analysis of the customs revenue returns at the port of New Plymouth during the past two years cannot but engender a spirit of optimism, for it shows that in relation to the times trade is being well maintained. During the month of July the returns were £2391 16s 2d greater than in July, 1931, and for the seven months the increase has been £6809 10s sd.
