Lord Bledisloe says that he is confident that the spirit of clean sportsmanship/ keenness and ( unselfishness in striving for victory, for which the New Zealanders enjoyed a well-merited world-wide reputation, would inspire all the players in the tests ■against their friendly rivals in'Australia.

'Lord Bledisloe regretted that the team would just miss seeing the New Zea-land-Australia football trophy, designed by New Zealanders and executed by British craftsmen, which arrive* from England to-day.
