The open golf championship is being played on the St. George’s and Sandwich courses, players reversing the courses to-morrow for the second qualifying round. A. Bradbeer, the youngest and smallest of seven professional brothers, with 70 leads the first round at St. George’s. Compston is 71. Others include Padgham 72, Duncan 74, and Armour, the holder, 75* Havers, with 71, equalled the record for Sandwich. The leaders include Dallemagne (France) 72, Ray, W> Hartley, Sarazen, MacDonald-Smith and Mitchell, 73.
