OPUNAKE SUNDAY SCHOOL
ST BARNABAS CHRISTMAS TREAT. The Christmas treat and prize-giving at St. Barnabas Sunday School, Opunake, took plaxie in the Parish Hall on Thursday night. About 70 children were present. The evening was passed in games until supper was ready. After flupper, the vicar, the Rev. Farnell, presented prizes to the following children, the names being mentioned in order of merit:. Class 6: Marjorie Fraser, Alavia Hewson, Muriel Humphries, Edith Ashworth, June Connell, Joan Connell, Claudia Connell, Betty Jackson. Class 5, 4 and 3: Ethel Parsons, Jean 'Davison, Frances Fraser, Fred Webb, June Wan, June Humphries, Phyllis Maindonald, Joyce Alaindonald, Zena Sorrenson, Thelma Coad, Mavis Coad, Norman ties Forges, Dave Hewson, Victor Elgar, R. Baylis, Frank Kerr. Classes 1 and 2: Mavis Humphries, Doreen Parsons, Joyce Biflhop, Eunice Oheffings, Alma Mitchell, Aline Mitchell, Nolan Sorrenson, Bryce Parkes, Jack Jim Croad, Tom Kerr, Edna Maindonald, Kerr, Jack Hewson, Lena Sharrack, Freda Maindonald. Primers: Boyd Davison.
