WAR MINISTER’S PROFITS
TAXING PROPOSAL RULED OUT.

Wellington, Last Night. The War Ministers’ Profits Bill sponsored in the House of Representatives by Mr. J. McCombs (Labour, Lyttelton) was ruled out this morning on the ground that it involved taxation. The object of the Bill was to tax any excess profits inade by Ministers of the Crown during the Great War period.
