FEWER MARRIAGES IN JULY.

one reflection of the present depression lies perhaps in the fact that the number of marriages celebrated during July (37) was the smallest total for eight years. In July last, year there were 44. Fewer births and deaths were also recorded during the months, the fi"ures being as follows: Births, 130 (135); deaths, 94 (108).
