Mias M. Romans, of the Public Trust, Stratford, left on Thursday morning oh transfer to Blenheim.

Miss M. Moyes, New Plymouth, Miss M. Brewer and Miss A. Bradinorc, Waverley, were the guests of Mrs. A. Coleman for the golf ball.

Miss Molly Malone was hostess at a bridge party during the week, when those present were Miss Dutchie Uniache (Gisborne), Miss N. Spence, Miss W. Norman (Wanganui), Miss Manu Porritt, Miss Joan Coleman, Miss Ceski Uniache, Miss Anita Riera, Miss Max Skoglund. 1

• A very successful, bridge party was r held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday t afternoon, this being the third of a series. Ten tables were in play. Those in charge of the afternoon tea were Mrs. Thorpe, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Mark, Mrss Martin and Mrs. R. Kay. Among those playing were Mrs. Fredrie, Mrs. G. Hall, Mrs. Bourke, Mrs. Blair, Mrs. Tyrer, ■ Mrs. Alger, Mrs. S. Macalistcr, Mrs. H. C. Johnston, Mrs. R. Tyrer, Mrs. Beale, Mrs. Haselden, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Shan1 non, Mrs. Frvday, Mrs. Thomson, Mrs, J. C. Allen, Mrs. Sole, Mrs. J. B. Richards, Mrs. T. King, Mrs. Spence, Mrs, 3 Turner, Mrs. E. H. Mrs. Hall J and Mrs. Fredrie are leading for the points prize, and Mrs. Macalister and Mrs. Haselden are runners-up. STRATFORD GOLF CLUB BALL. S The Town Hall was crowded on i Thursday evening for the Stratford Golf Club’s annual ball, which becomes, more popular every year. Visitors from all . over Taranaki were present.
