The floral tea at the Victoria League yesterday took the form of a gift afternoon for Daffodil Day. Many dainty articles were brought for the fancy stall and the sale of cakes and flowers added to the funds for the day. A delightful programme was arranged by Mrs. Brodie. Mrs. R. C. Hughes gave two recitations; duets were sung by Mesdames Maxwell and H. B. Gray and songs by Miss Kimbell' Mrs. Keeling played the accompaniments. The competitions were won by Mesdames White and Edgecombe. A general meeting of the Whakarato Club is to be held next Wednesday evening to make arrangements for this month’s activities.
