STRIKES MOTION REJECTED
MILITANT SEAMEN’S FAILURE.
UPROARIOUS SYDNEY MEETING.

The militants at a seamen’s meeting received another setback when they advocated a general seamen’s strike as a reprisal for the decision of the Arbitration Court that award wages should be reduced by 10 per cent. A motion for a general strike was not accepted by the chair.
