Wellington, Dec. 17. Thefts in various parts pf the country were cleared up in the Magistrate’s Court to-day when Arthur Victor Jones, aged 22, labourer, pleaded guilty to two charges of breaking, entering and theft, and six. charges of theft, the total value of the goods stolen £sl 7s sd. Mr. E. Page, S.M., £aid accused had a long list of convictions for thefts, and sentenced him to 12 months’ hard labour on the charges of theft. On the two major charges accused was committed for sentence. ' ' ;
