NO BUTTER FOR CANADA
TARIFF STOPS EXPORTS BIG CARGOES TO UNITED KWPQM, FIVE SAILINGS IN DECEMBER (By Wire—Special to News',) Auckland, Last NightOwing to Canada’s tariff against New Zealand exports to that Dominion have almost ceased. The Niagara, which left Auckland for Vancouver op Tuesday, for the first time for many voyages carried no butter for Canada. The only sffippient op board was a consignment of 1700 boeks for Honolulu. Heavy consignments have been made to the United Kingdom. The Hertford was despatched last evening, for the United Kingdom. Her total allptmpnt compriseh 75,000 boxes of butter and 36,00'0 prates of cheese. The Mahana left to-day after having loaded 45,500 boxes of butter at this port. She will complete her ibatjihg at Wellington, sailing finally. from there with 60,000 boxes of buttpr and 28,d0() crates of cheese. During December shipments of dairy produce will be despatched at intervals of less than a week until Christmas, the allotments for the whole of the Dominion, qp the five vessels to pail between December 3 and December 23 totalling 376,000 of butter and 116,100 crates of cheese.
