SPURIOUS COINS IN SYDNEY
ARREST OF YOUNG ITALIANS. POLICE DISCOVER BIG PLANT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Oct. 22. For some weeks counterfeit florins have been in circulation. Last night detectives forced their way into a house in East Sydney and discovered one of the biggest coining plants yet found in Australia.
Two young Italians were arrested and charged. Some of the spurious coins were still hot in the moulds.
