TURKISH WRESTLER WINS

SECOND DEFEAT OF TOM ALLEY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. In his first appearance in Auckland Khara Pasha, the Turkish wrestler, dedefeated Tom Alley (United States) before a packed audience in the Town Hall on Saturday evening. The two men had met previously in Wellington, where the Turk won by two falls to one, and on Saturday he gained two submission falls from Alley to win the bout in the sixth round. It was the first contest to be held under the control of the recently-formed ex-service-men’s wrestling union, and the new association received good support. The first three rounds were fast and even, but in the fourth Kara Pasha gained a submission fall with a toe hold. Alley made desperate but unsuccessful attempts to equalise in the fifth, and in the sixth the Turk gained the second submission fall with another toe hold.
