DEATH OF ARRESTED MAN
WAS IN CELLS FOR DRUNKENNESS

Christchurch, July 16.
Arrested on a charge of drunkenness yesterday afternoon, an unidentified man was found dead in his cell at the central police station at seven o’clock this morning. There was nothing to give any clue to his identity. He was about 45 years of age and fairly well dressed.
