ROLL OF THE UNEMPLOYED
DOMINION TOTAL REACHES ClBB. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last . Night. The total of registered unemployed in the Dominion at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday was 6188, as compared with 5641 on the previous day, an increase of 547. This total is made up as follows (on October 9). —Whangarei 171, Auckland 1514, Wanganui 183, Thames 7'2, Gisborne 122, Hamilton 210, Napier 316, New Plymouth 9, Hastings 62, Palmerston North 3'04, Masterton 79, Wellington 887, Nelson 15, Blenheim 55, Greymouth 38, Westport 9. Christchurch 1015, Ashburton 31, Timaru 130, Oamaru 84, Kaitangata 36, Dunedin 614, Invercargill 223. The special Cabinet committee dealing with unemployment has issued instructions that those figures bo no longer issued.
