FAREWELL TO NEW PLYMOUTH. GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S VISIT. The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, has notified the Mayor of New Plymouth (Mr. H. V. S. Griffiths) that he will pay a farewell visit to New Plymouth this month. The proposed elates are from October 22 to October 24, the vice-regal party arriving by the mail train on the Tuesday evening*and leaving by the mail train on the Thursday morning.
