OFFICERS APPOINTED. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Baptist Church Union conference the election of officers resulted: vice-president and president-elect, Mr. S. Ewen; membership committee (five located in one centre, this time the centre being Dunedin), Revs. E. S. Tnckwell, S. Jenkin, E. Evans, Pastor Chant and Mr. J. Purdie; executive committee, Messrs. F. N. Andrews, W. Ji.. Bush, J. B. Carey, H. Adams and W. Wright, Revs. F. E. Harry, J. Robertson, A. W. Stuart, E. S. Tuckwell;- home mission board, Rev. A. S. Wilson (convener), Messrs. R. Stewards, A. Anstiee, F. C. Every, W. E. Lambert, Pastor Chant, Revs. C. S. Matthews, J. Robertson anil C. W. Duneumb, Messrs. D. T. Allan, A. T. Kelly, J. A. Penman, T. E. Toneyeliffe, W. Wright; editor of the New Zealand Baptist, Rev. J. J. North; annuity and sustentation fund, Revs. W. M. P. Lascelles -and F. E. Harry. Messrs. F. N. Andrews, J. R. Carey, W. E. Bush, W. R. Elliug’ham, T. E. Tonevclill'e, R. S. AI. and F. Gaze. ChrieL-hv.reh was chosen as the place for the m’xt conference; , ’ ■ The young peoples’ department ie : to be in Auckland, with the Rev. L. B. Baslield as secretary. The matter of a possible South Island orphanage was referred to the Canterbury and Otago auxiliary for exhaustive investigation. An administrative committee was established to meet quarterly. Pastor Chant presented the report ol the membership campaign committee. It was recommended that in future the committee consist of five to be located in one centre. That if possible a Dominion evangelist bo secured, and that suitable ministers be released from time to time for evangelistic, work, their pulpits to be satisfactorily arranged for during their absence. That if it were deemed wise and suitable a Lent mission be held.

The following were elected members of the committee with location in Dunedin, Revs. Duekwell, Stanley, Jenkin, Evans and Chant,. Messrs. Jackson am! Purdie. .;
