Oliver in Riihus'oml Park, has been committed for trial. On October 5, Constance Oliver, a fypiste, 21 years of age, was discovered >n Richmond Park strangled by her own clothing. Everywhere there was eve denee of a fierce struggle for life, from the trampled ground to the state of the clothing,. while the victim’s face was shockingly bruised. Marks of identity had been carefully removed from the clothes, but the? murderer over-looked a handbag containing the girl’s diary written in shorthand: Her relatives said-that’Constance made the acquaintance of a man a fortnight ago. Her sister saw. the : man the day before the discovery, and asked if lie had seen Connie, as her mother was anxious. The man replied, “My God, I will see your mother,” but he did not. The police issued a description of Sidney Goulter, a motor- me-eh’anie, and later he was arreeted. .
