Out of consideration for the Duke and Duchess their northern tour has been somewhat modified to enable them to have some rest at the various stopping places. Received April 4, 7.45 p.m. Sydney, April 4. The Duke and Duchess of York have departed for Brisbane. They called at Newcastle where, in spite of pouring rain they were greeted by huge cheering crowds.
