RIFT IN SOVIET RANKS

CONCORD NOT ACHIEVED DEBATE OF EXECUTIVE PARTY NEARLY DESTROYED By Telegraph.—Preas Aasoeiation. Moscow, Dec. 12. Concord in Soviet circles has apparently not been achieved by the written recantations of Trotsky and Zinovieff in October. The official newspaper Pravda’s account of the meeting of the Communist Internationale executive on Thursday shows that Trotsky went out of his way to describe the Soviet as an integral part of the world of capitalist economies. Stalin, leader of the party, retorted that Trotsky and Zinovieff, as well as the oppositionists in France and Germany, had gone close to destroying the existing party. They had actually accomplished a fusion with the leading enemies of the proletariat. The Pravda described Trotsky as the commander of the reserves, ready at the first opportunity to lead the oppositionists in all countries, which is gross disloyalty and a rude breach of their promise to desist from such activities.
