EVIDENCE OF SHOOTING t COTTAGE BURNED DOWN WHOLE FAMILY WIPED OUT By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Sydney, Nov. 25. As the result of a fire in a cottage at. Tenterfield early this Constable Milton. his wife and three children were bunted to death. The flames had secured a strong hold before it was realised that the unfortunate family were in danger. Received Nov. 25, 9.40 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 25. A post mortem examination of the victims of the Tentenfield fire revealed bullet wounds in the heads of all the dewaved. ' 1 The theory now held is that Milton shot his wife and children, then set fire to the house and shot himself. Neighbours state that they heard a sound like a shot about midnight, but a niece of Milton. who was sleeping on the verandah, and who gave the alarm of fire, states she heard nothing unusual until the fire broke out. Other testimony shows that Milton lived very happily with his wife and family, to whom be was extremely attached.
