BABY ABANDONED

COURT PROCEEDINGS FOLLOW. « By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The young married woman who was arrested in Blenheim early in the week on a charge of unlawfully abandoning her baby, which was left on the steps of the Salvation Army maternity home in Christchurch on the night of November 16, appeared before Mr. 11. A. Young, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. She was remanded till to morrow and her name ordered to be suppressed in the meantime.
