FAMILY IN DISTRESS.
ALLOWANCE OF FLOUR GIVEN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 19, 10.15 p.m. London, Nov. 19. The relief official of the St. Faith’s Board of Guardians, Norwich, called attention to the case of a farm labourer with a wife and eight children, ranging from fourteen years to fourteen months. The man’s wages were 25s a week, leaving 21® 7d for food after insurance and rent had been paid. The guardians .made an allowance of three and a half stones of flour weekly.
