A fire at Elliott Bro®.* wholesale chemists’ works at Rozelle caused heavy damage. TDe lire spread over an area of several acres, but the firemen by gicat efforts prevented the outbreak from involving the whole works, the blaze being confined to the packing plant. Fumes from the heavy stocks of chemical® and the poor water supply made the fire fighters’ task a heavy one. Several firemen had to be treated ■for the effects of fume®.
