Wanganui, Last Night. The GosS-Sauhders match in the morning was regarded as the virtual final, and was followed by a fair gallery. The ex-New Zealand champion was in great form .while Saunders was making mistakes going out, mistakes which were fatal against Goss’ great, game. Going out Goss’ card read 4,4, 4,4, 3,5, 4. 4. 4—36. Going on he finished the round In 75, inclusive of a 5, Including one out of bounds at French Pass. Saunders completed the round in 82, only one above bogey, and yet suffered d.efeat by 6 up and 5. Hussey’s win over Dodgshun came as a surprise, as the Gisborne man had been playing very well on the previous day. The final was regarded as a foregone conclusion, and so it proved, Goss winning 4 up and 3 without being extended. The meeting of Goss and L. This will add additional interest to the annual fixture, and very probably many Wanganui enthusiasts will make the journey to witness the game.
