Owing to the visit of the GovernorGeneral, Lord Jellicoe, the medical lecture given under the auspices of the New Plymouth branch of the British Red Cross Society will not take place until Tuesday, October 7, when Dr. E. Amongst the competitors at the recent Wellington Festival were Misses White, Campbell (New Plymouth), Langman (Waitara), and Milner (Stratford). They were successful in gaming four seconds, and three third prizes, and were several times highly commended by the judge. These ladies are pupils of W. L. Hay, of New Plymouth. Visitors to New Plymouth for the ViceRegel celebrations this week should make k point of seeing the display of furniture and furnishings at Shepherd’s, Devon Street central, next to Ward’s, ironmongers. The concert to be held in the Lepperton Hall on Thursday, the 18th inst., has been postponed. Date will be advertised later. Mr. F.
