FRENCH BUDGET.
LARGE SURPLUS ESTIMATED. DUE TO NATIONAL PROSPERITY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 27, 7.45 p.m. Paris, Dec. 26. The Finance Committee submitted the 1924 Budget to the Senate, estimating receipts at 23,950 million francs, and expenditure at 23,382 million, and the surplus at 568 million franca. The committee stated that the steady increases in the tax collections w«f*e due to national prosperity, which makes possible a surplus. The Chamber of Deputies approved of the measure reducing the number of deputies from 626 fo 591.
